ACOUSTIC: EARLY 1970S JAPAN NUMBERED MODELS
In 1970, Epiphone moved all production overseas and the first models to be produced in Japan feature no model name but a four digit model number instead. This configuration only lasted for two years, and by 1972, the entire Epiphone line was renamed again.
MODEL 6730
- dreadnought body style, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, round soundhole with multi-ring rosette, multi-layer binding, three-piece bolt-on neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, black headstock overlay with Epiphone logo, three-per-side chrome tuners, adj. rosewood bridge, black pickguard, Natural finish, 25.5 in. scale, mfg. 1970-71.
Model 6735 12-String
- similar to the Model 6730, except in 12-string configuration with six-per-side tuners, mfg. 1970-71.
MODEL 6732
- Grand Auditorium 000-style body, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, round soundhole with multi-ring rosette, multi-layer binding, three-piece bolt-on neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, black headstock overlay with Epiphone logo, three-per-side chrome tuners, adj. rosewood bridge, black pickguard, Natural finish, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 1970-71.
MODEL 6830

- similar to the Model 6830, except in 12-string configuration with six-per-side tuners, mfg. 1970-71.
