| Boom basses have a cedar soundboard, mahogany back, sides, and neck, and rosewood fingerboards and bridges. The tuning machines are chrome Schallers. The basses have a 32 in.scale (45.5 in.overall), and a six inch depth. The neck joined the non-cutaway body at the 14th fret, and had 19 frets overall.
