CARELLI
Instruments previously built in Chicago, IL circa mid-1930s.
Carelli archtop guitars were produced in the 1930s by the Harmony Guitar company. Harmony, well-known for producing an estimated fifty-seven "different" brands throughout its history, was the largest jobber production house in the history of guitar production. The Carelli trademark, or distributing company, is yet unidentified. Source: Jim Fisch, author (with L.B. Fred) of Epiphone: The House of Stathopoulo; and Gary Sullivan, owner of photographed guitar.
