Chapin's acoustic electric Eagle (last MSR $1,850) is available in nylon or steel string configuration. It features semi-solid body design with tuned acoustic chambers, spruce (or maple) top, rosewood acoustic-style bridge or electric-style bridge with piezo pickups (steel string model only), and Gilbert or Sperzel tuners. The Eagle Custom model has a figured redwood or master-grade spruce top, interchangeable ebony soundports, figured wood binding, violin-style purfling, acoustic transducer, and Gilbert tuners with abalone inlay (pricing is different for every order). The Fatline Acoustic model is a tuned chamber semi-solid version of the Fatline Electric. It features steel strings, and electric guitar bridge with six piezo pickups and a Fishman Rare Earth neck pickup. | |
