BRONSON | Instruments previously produced. See chapter on House Brands. | George Bronson was a guitar teacher in Detroit, MI during the 1930s and 1940s. He specialized in steel guitars and many of the Bronsons are square neck guitars made by the National/Valco company. There are also regular Bronson guitars made by the Harmony company. George ran the "Bronson Music & Sales Company" in the Kerr Building in Detroit, MI, where he sold and distributed sheet music and guitars. Therewas also apopular modelelectric lap steel that National/Valco made for Bronson, whichwas sold under the name "Bronson Singing Electric." Source: Walter Murray, Frankenstein Fretworks. | |
