BEARD GUITARS
Resonators currently produced in Hagerstown, MD since 1985.
Luthier Paul Beard built his first resonator guitar in 1985 after he became dissatisfied with the quality of available resonator guitars on the market. Beard guitars are built on the traditional Dopyera-style instrument, but Paul uses modern technologies and techniques. Notable players of Beard Guitars include Mike Auldridge, LeRoy Mack, and Tim Graves. Currently, Beard offers fourteen square and round neck models, as well as a full online parts and accessories store for resonators. Prices start at $3,500.
