BELTONE
Guitars previously built during the 1920s and the 1930s.
The Beltone trademark was a house brand of sorts used by distributor Perlberg & Halpin of New York City, NY. They offered acoustic guitars, resonators, and mandolins, and these instruments were more than likely built by Harmony and/or Regal of Chicago, IL. Most instruments were entry-level to student models that sold at competitive prices. It is also reported that Martin supplied some instruments with the Beltone name (approx. thirty-six or less instruments total). Source: Walter Murray, Frankenstein Fretworks.
