ACOUSTIC ARCHTOP: RENAISSANCE SERIES

Renaissance Series instruments are very custom, one-of-a-kind archtop guitars. While the features may vary, the most distinct similarity between them are the clustered sound openings (unique to Benedetto) which range in design and location from one instrument to another. To date, only two instruments have been constructed -- the Il Fiorentino, and the Il Palissandro. List price on these models is $50,000. All Renaissance series instruments will have their own name.
The Il Palissandro model has a 16 in. width, non-cutaway body, and features a European spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, one-piece Honduran mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard/bridge/tailpiece/endpin, rosewood binding/natural wood purfling, a classical-style tapered neck heel, serpentine-style headstock with flamed curly maple and rosewood border/flamed curly maple truss rod cover, no finger rest and no pickup.
