Previously distributed by Musical Distributors Group of Kinnelon, NJ between 2005 and 2007, and by the Lowden Guitar Co. in Fort Worth, TX between 2002 and 2005. | | The Avalon company was launched in 2002 as a new brand of acoustic guitars by the Lowden Guitar Company. This guitar line was established to make guitars that are of the Lowden quality but keep the price range low. Lowden guitars typically sell in the $3,000-$5,000 range while the Avalon guitars start at a retail price of under $2,000, with none going over $2,600.
