 ADAMAS | | Instruments currently manufactured since 1975. Distributed by Kaman Music in Bloomfield, CT. | | Adamas guitars have been produced since 1975. Charlie Kaman, an innovator of the helicopter, took the carbon fiber material used in aviation and applied it to guitars. The top of this guitar is carbon fiber and is remarkably thin. These guitars also have a round back to give a smooth sound. Adamas was a series of Ovation until about 1997, when they were introduced as their own line. Adamas also offers a custom shop on select models. In late 2007, Fender Musical Instrument Corporation (FMIC) acquired Kaman Music, which includes Adamas.
