ASHLAND Instruments previously produced in Asia. Distributed by VMI Industries of Brea, CA. Ashland instruments were manufactured for the entry-level or beginning guitarist. Ashland offered at least three dreadnought-style guitars with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Prices start at $249 (AD 26), to $269 (AD 36), up to $299 (AD 39). A fourth model, the AE 16 ($279) was an acoustic/electric that features a fingerboard-mounted pickup with adjustable pole pieces.
