ALLEN GUITARS
ACOUSTIC
Standard features on the acoustic guitar models include East Indian rosewood or Honduran mahogany back and sides, a Sitka spruce top; bound ebony fingerboards and bridges. Basic models include the Dreadnought ($4,140), Small Jumbo ($4,537), the Parlor ($4,537), the OM ($4,537), the Resophonic RN ($4,175) and the Resophonic SN ($3,437). There are several options available on all guitars. These include different wood types, inlays, and body features.
In 1996, Allen debuted a new series of resophonic guitars. The Allen Resonator guitar models are equipped with high quality hardware and a spun resonator cone. The chrome-plated cover-plate is held in position with machine screws (as opposed to wood screws, which may strip out over time). The top, back, and sides are maple (a spruce top is available on request).
